The Plumery Foundation Holiday Party
June 13th, 2018 by admin
Our dear President, Cheryl Kassner, was recently featured in Continuum of Colorado's newsletter in their article about the Gary Plumery Foundation. She helped create the foundation in 2000, in honor of her brother, Gary Plumery. His memory lives on through this foundation, which helps “people with developmental disabilities live a better, more fulfilling life by providing them with social activities, sporting events, and community involvement projects.”
In her role as Vice President of the foundation, Cheryl has worked on numerous projects since its founding, including the cooperation with the volunteers from Continuum of Colorado. The non-profit provides a variety of important services to people with a wide range of abilities, as well as social activities through the Elevate 365 program. You only need to read the most recent newsletter to understand the difference they make for the individuals and families they serve!
Back during the 2017 holiday season, Cheryl helped organize the Plumery Foundation Holiday Party for “individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities who may not have family to spend the holidays with”. This annual party has become a wonderful tradition for all attendees. There’s great food, presents, and holiday cheer for everyone!
Be sure to read the original article for some touching moments and pictures from the event and let us know if you’d like to be involved in any future activities!
